Botanikai Közlemények publishes original research papers, short communications, opinion articles, and reviews of high quality from all disciplines of botany including floristics, systematics, phytocoenology, phytogeography, palaeobotany, conservation, anatomy and morphology, physiology, ecology, ecophysiology, genetics, horticulture, and history of botanical science. The language of manuscripts can be Hungarian or English. For contributions written in Hungarian, the title, keywords, abstract and captions for figures and tables are also given in English for the convenience of an international readership. Manuscripts should be submitted in MS Word (doc or docx) document either directly on the journal website (https://ojs.mtak.hu/index.php/BotKozlem) OR by sending it to Tibor Kalapos (botanikai.kozlemenyek@mbt-biologia.hu).

Manuscript submission is continuous. Each year, manuscripts received not later than 1 January have the chance to be published in the 1st issue if accepted for publication, and those arrived until 1 July in the 2nd issue of that year. See our detailed author instructions here.
